Assam Flood Update 1 August 2026: Toll Reaches 82 as 1.92 Lakh Remain Affected

Two additional deaths pushed the 2026 Assam flood toll to 82, while ASDMA-linked figures cited by Times of India showed 1,92,799 people still affected across 379 villages in 17 revenue circles of five districts. Relief continued through 54 camps and 54 distribution centres as upper-Assam districts including Charaideo, Jorhat and Sivasagar remained under recovery pressure.
